A Passion for Personal and Population Health

Founded in 2006, the Dossia Consortium is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing new technologies with the goal of improving personal and population health.

Our founding members are some of the largest, most recognized brands in the world, including Applied Materials, BP America, Cardinal Health, Intel, NantWorks, Pitney Bowes, Tenet Healthcare Corporation and Walmart. Collectively these companies represent more than five million employees, dependents and retirees. All share a common vision to transform health and healthcare through consumer-driven, value-based care.

In 2006, Consortium members invested in the development of a personally controlled and comprehensive personal health records platform. The goal was simple yet audacious: Aggregate health information from health plan, provider and pharmacy records and deliver actionable data to help individuals make more informed decisions about their health and healthcare spending.

The Dossia Consortium subsequently spun-off a for-profit company, the Dossia Service Corporation, with a goal to create a new business focused on the development of innovative health solutions to help self-insured employers, third-party administrators, health care providers and others rein in costs and improve health outcomes.

Today, Dossia aspires to develop leading-edge technologies that integrate personal health information with best-in-class health and healthcare tools. To learn more about Dossia’s innovative health management solutions, please visit http://dossia.com
